Our Team

Stephanie Harris

I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC).  I have a Masters of Arts in Counselling Psychology and an undergraduate degree in Child and Youth Care.

I have had the honour to work with children, youth and adults in various capacities for 15 years.   During this time I have gained experience working in mental health, addictions, employment and trauma.   I have learnt that each client has the capacity to find the answers within themselves, and it is my role to walk beside them as this process unfolds.  I know what it is like to struggle to try do the right thing for your child, or to not be sure whether you are over or under reacting.  Some things just don’t go away- and that’s when it might be time to reach out for support.

For those individuals who have experienced trauma, I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).  I also have a background in Play Therapy and Narrative Therapy and I enjoy doing parenting work with children and their care-givers as well as one on one counselling with children, teens and adults.

When I’m not in my counselling office you can almost always find me spending time with family, outside near the ocean or the farm.  There is nothing like the outdoors to soothe the soul.

I believe that a strong therapeutic alliance is at the core of the work we do.  Please feel free to contact me for a free 20 minute consultation to see if the way I practice will be a good fit for you.

Eden Dratva

I have always been interested in people and their stories for as long as I can remember. This journey led me to an undergraduate degree in Psychology and then on to a Master of Social Work. Through my schooling, I had the privilege of working with a variety of people, from young children in group homes in need of specialized services and in foster care homes to teens in a wilderness therapy environment who were there to overcome substance use. In 2019 I began working within a Friendship Centre providing substance use counselling to the community members coming in. It was here that I gained a deeper understanding and passion for working with adults who have experienced trauma in their lives.

Over the ten years I have been in the human services field I have trained in a variety of modalities that have not only shaped the way in which I work with people, but the way in which I view myself and the world. Two trauma-informed modalities that create the foundation  for the therapeutic work I do are Relational Psychotherapy and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy. By providing a gentle and curious environment, I use the therapeutic relationship to explore and support you in looking past the symptoms you may be experiencing to discover your authentic self. In Sensorimotor Psychotherapy we use the wisdom of the body to heal through a variety of interventions and skills that we work through in our sessions.

If you are curious about this work, would like to hear more about how we would work together, or discuss if we would be a good fit for you, I offer free 20 minute consultations over the phone.
